What is a picture? Years ago, it was silver halide on paper, exposed to light, and in turn giving us the briefest of glimpses into a moment in time. Today, it’s a series of pixels that could be broken down even further into the simplest ones and zeros of binary code to achieve the same effect. That’s the nuts and bolts of it, but what makes it art is the person behind the camera, the photographer.

Located in Dearborn, Michigan in the heart of the Henry Ford Historical District, Studio 2119 is a collection of photographers with decades of experience between them.
